On Sunday 18th October 2020, 12 members of Tauranga RSA were presented with an Anzac Quilt. These men served in WW 11, Japan and Korea. This is a small way in which we can say thank you for their service to New Zealand, by bestowing this honour onto them.
Over 100 people attended the ceremony including family members and friends.
Thanks to Heather Waldron, Tony Hulme and others for their help and assistance.
This is a concept which was started (under another title) in the USA, and is also in Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. Eventually we hope that it will be operating throughout New Zealand with each quilt club making quilts for their local RSA.
